- You have 3 GCSE's or equivalent (Proof of qualification is needed)

- You are available for an assessment session on 16/10/2024

- You have no annual leave or appointments booked in the next 3 months

- You are available to start a full time role from 4/11/2024

12 Hour Shifts, covering mornings, days and nights.

Temp with a view to go perm after 12 weeks.

Rates of Pay:

£11.44 - Days

£15.44 - Nights and Saturdays

£19.33 - Sundays and Public Holidays

Main Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone calls from the public, emergency services, doctors, and Health Service colleagues about emergency, urgent, and non-urgent situations.
  • Use the Control Room computer system to input patient details and pass information electronically to the Dispatch Officer.
  • Communicate by radio with the crews to deploy them and assist with queries or requests.
  • Provide accurate and legible documentation related to patient journeys, cancellations, and booking changes.
  • Assist with general clerical duties as needed.
  • Maintain courteous and professional interactions with the public, doctors, and Health Service colleagues.
  • Operate systems to liaise with callers who have additional communication requirements.
  • Provide ad hoc "on the job" training for new staff members.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy work environment, free from obstructions.
  • Provide cover for absences, including sickness and annual leave, as needed.
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably required.

Note: Responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with company policies, which may change over time. Ensure full compliance with policies related to patient safety, including Risk Management, Infection Prevention, and Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
