Our client is seeking a highly competent and adaptable Financial Controller to join their dynamic team in Nuneaton. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining and future-proofing the finance function, providing commercial insight to non-finance colleagues, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities of the Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in managing all financial aspects of the business. Your role will involve managing a small team, developing data management tools, delivering process improvements, liaising with various departments, preparing budgets, and presenting key information to the board. You will also be responsible for cash flow forecasting, credit risk management, and active monitoring of working capital. Your ability to drive the business forward while holding them accountable will be crucial in this role.

  • Manage a small team to deliver end-to-end finance for the business
  • Develop data management tools to create more effective financial processes
  • Deliver process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting process
  • Drive the business forward and hold them accountable
  • Liaise with credit control and other back-office functions
  • Lead in building a scalable and efficient accounting and finance function including KPI's and SLA's
  • Participate as a leading team member in the group external audit process, ensuring timely and effective engagement
  • Prepare and present key information to the business and Board
  • Monitor cashflow forecasting and working capital actively
  • Manage credit risk and drive effective decision making at the front end

What the successful candidate will bring
