We are looking for a hands-on management accountant with manufacturing experience to join my clients accounts team in Oldbury. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring all day-to-day transactions are processed in line with company policies and procedures.

Supervising the purchase and sales ledger assistants to keep accurate records and maintain up to date information in their systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports - Sales analysis, Bank movements, Suppler and Customer analysis.
  • Work with all departments to ensure accounting policies and procedures are adhered to throughout.
  • Supervise daily ledger activities and ensure accuracy, adherence to policy and up to date ledgers.
  • Monthly Payroll adjustments, journals, and analysis.
  • Vat returns reconciliation.
  • Inter- Company journals and monthly reconciliations.
  • Monthly Stock Postings and Stock Valuation.
  • Month End review of COGS - ensuring all costs accounted for.
  • Month End nominal review - Accruals and Prepayments.
  • Month End Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Foreign exchange monthly reconciliation.
  • Fixed Assets maintenance and Depreciation.
  • Ad hoc management reports.
  • Assist in development of ERP system.
  • Assist in costings exercises.
  • Assist in annual audit completion.
  • Assist FC in ad hoc projects.
  • Intercompany transactions and reconciliations, foreign currency.

Essential Skills

  • AAT/CIMA part qualified/Qualified by experience.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • ERP experience essential.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Must have experience in a busy commercial business accounting department.
