Ecology by Design are currently looking to appoint an admin assistant with a specialism in resource coordination to join their team.

Ecology by Design are a young business who seek to employ ambitious professionals to join them in an exciting period of growth, working across the UK with the majority of projects across the Home Counties, South and Midlands.

The successful candidate will work within the business support team in an important administrative function, supporting the team with scheduling of projects across the country. The right person will be excited by joining a rapidly growing business and have clear ambition to grow with the business helping shape it as a modern, innovative environmental consultancy. The scope of this role is flexible and will give the right candidate an opportunity to shape their place in the business and could lead to other roles in the business.

Duties, Skills and Experience

  • Genuine and demonstrable enthusiasm for ecology and the environment;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to multi-task, juggling several tasks at once;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Good IT skills - including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and strong desire to succeed;
  • Providing resourcing and logistic management for the team;
  • Maintain and manage field and office equipment;
  • Diary management;
  • Survey data management support;
  • Quick to learn, thorough respectful and friendly with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure;
  • Ad hoc office manager assistance;
  • Full driving licence and use of a car; and
  • Manage and register subcontractors.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Undertake ad hoc jobs throughout the winter period as required in Business Support;
  • During the offseason you will be required to work on process improvement projects; and
  • A previous background in logistics is advantageous.
