About the RoleAs an Electrical Test & Instrumentation Engineer, you will be part of a fast-paced and expanding Battery Systems team. The role involves executing system tests and validation activities both in the UK and internationally. You will support hardware and system testing, assist with building and fault-finding projects, and maintain close relationships with customers and suppliers. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct system tests and validation for products and rigs.
- Prepare test rigs for hardware and system testing.
- Support external test houses in testing activities.
- Assist in project assembly, fault-finding, and debugging.
- Prepare and present detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company during technical and project reviews with customers.
- Ensure all testing complies with industry, legislative, and company standards.
- Assemble and disassemble systems for debugging and fault resolution.
- Maintain test equipment, including loggers, vehicles, and rigs.
- Manage data acquisition, logging, and pre-processing.
About You
- Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.
- Several years of experience in automotive or motorsport industries.
- Solid understanding of testing and validation methods.
- Experience with data loggers and associated software.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high standards.
Preferred
- Experience with Electric Vehicles, including HV charging, HV battery, and powertrain systems.
- Familiarity with electrical and environmental test standards (e.g., LV123, LV124).
- Experience with Vector tools such as CANalyzer and CANape.
- Background in heavy industries, rail, or mining
