Job Title: Finance Manager (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract) Location: Banbury Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Contract: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Banbury. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring the accurate preparation of financial reports, and supporting senior management with strategic decision-making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the finance function while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to stakeholders. Management Reporting: Prepare and present management reports, highlighting key financial performance indicators, trends, and areas of concern for decision-making purposes. Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring financial plans are aligned with business goals and objectives. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the business has sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs. Financial Controls: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory regulations. Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings, including VAT, corporation tax, and other relevant taxes. Audit Support: Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors as required. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior finance staff, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day responsibilities. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the finance function. Qualifications & Experience: ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in a finance management role. Proven experience in a similar finance manager role, ideally within a fast-paced, growing business environment. Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance. Proficient in financial software and systems (e.g., Sage, Excel, ERP systems). Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax compliance, and corporate governance. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
