Join our team as an Asset Manager and take the lead in managing and maintaining our Housing Revenue Account (HRA) assets, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.This is a brand-new role created to drive our asset management strategy and deliver on our landlord responsibilities for HRA properties. With a recently developed HRA Business Plan, Asset Strategy, and a 5-Year Investment Programme, you'll have the opportunity to shape and improve the management of our housing stock while working closely with our in-house contractor and other key stakeholders.Responsibilities

  • Leading the strategic management of HRA housing assets, ensuring effective maintenance and compliance.
  • Overseeing a varied portfolio of approximately 8,000 homes.
  • Managing a budget of approximately £50M across capital and revenue expenditures.
  • Driving improvements in programmed maintenance, reactive maintenance, and decarbonisation initiatives to meet our net zero target by 2040.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 and other relevant legislation.
  • Developing long-term investment plans based on lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Managing procurement and contracts, ensuring value for money and high-quality service delivery.
  • Engaging with residents, key stakeholders, and members to align asset management strategies with community needs.

About you

  • A strong background in asset management, property management, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing large-scale housing portfolios and budgets.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement long-term asset management plans.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of social housing compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent financial acumen, contract management expertise, and data-driven decision-making skills.
