Reed are currently recruiting for a Receptionist for a highly regarded and well-established legal practice in Oxfordshire. This role is crucial in providing an efficient reception service to clients and staff, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth operation of internal communications.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Respond to all incoming telephone calls, ensuring prompt and correct routing.
  • Receive all visitors, ensuring their needs are met and they have a favourable impression of the company.
  • Maintain the reception area, client waiting area, and meeting rooms to a high standard.
  • Handle the collection and delivery of mail, DX, and faxes efficiently.
  • Perform identification checks for clients, handle client monies, and issue receipts.
  • Support fee earners with archiving files and other administrative tasks.
  • Arrange service calls for repairs and maintain office equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all company health and safety procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a reception or similar role, preferably within a legal office environment.
  • Professional telephone manner and experience with switchboards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams.
  • High level of personal presentation and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
