Job Title: Senior Practitioner - MASH Location/Hybrid Working: Sand Martin House, Peterborough On-site requirement: 3 days per week in the office (non-negotiable) Rate: £45 per hour (umbrella) About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. You will play a key role in safeguarding children by ensuring efficient and thorough handling of contacts and referrals, while providing guidance and supervision to staff. Key Responsibilities: Conduct MASH enquiries, ensuring completion within the allocated 24-hour time frame. Update chronologies and provide analysis for s47 Red and s17 Amber contacts, passing them to the Team Manager for sign-off. Support Child and Adult Information Officers (CAIOs) by overseeing child contacts received via the Portal and email. Allocate Amber MASH Enquiries once RAG-rated by the Team Manager. Offer case discussions and guidance to staff within MASH. Provide professional consultations to other professionals via the Professional Consultation Line (PCL). Attend and contribute to MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) meetings. Chair the Daily MASH Information Sharing Meeting. Deliver monthly supervision to alternatively qualified staff. Respond to Professional Consultation Line calls effectively. What We're Looking For: To succeed in this role, you should have: Proven experience in social work within a safeguarding context. A solid understanding of RAG rating, s47 and s17 assessments, and MASH operations. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills for providing case discussions and professional consultations. The ability to lead meetings and supervise staff effectively.
