Location: PlymouthCompetitive Salary: £30-35,000

Are you a hands-on management accountant looking for a dynamic role in a close-knit finance team? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company in a newly created position, playing a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and operational support.

The RoleAs a management accountant, you will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial records and support the preparation of management accounts. You’ll also be involved in job costing, payroll, reconciliations, and financial analysis, helping to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Reconcile control accounts, intercompany transactions, and balance sheets
• Support job costing and profitability analysis
• Process purchase invoices and customer invoicing using JNC Job Costing and Sage 50
• Share responsibility for weekly payroll processing for approximately 60 staff
• Manage credit card reconciliation and bank account management
• Provide ad-hoc financial support across the team

Essential skills:

• Strong experience in account reconciliations and payroll processing
• Proficiency in Sage Payroll and invoice processing
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach

Desirable:

• Experience with Sage 50 Accounts
• Knowledge of job costing, CIS, and long-term contract accounting
• AAT or equivalent accounting qualification (not essential)
