I am seeking an Accounts Assistant with a robust background in accounting practices and a keen eye for detail. Whether you are AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified, semi-qualified or possess a strong background within a financial setting, I have an exciting opportunity for you!

You will handle daily banking functions, prepare financial reports, and assist in audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all transactions. Your expertise in Excel and familiarity with financial software will be highly valued as you tackle challenges and support the accounts and wider team.

You will not only maintain financial records but also play a crucial role in financial decision-making processes. Your analytical skills will help optimise financial strategies and your contributions will be directly linked to overall success. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Undertake daily banking functions, including daily reconciliations.
  • Prepare cheques and process billing.
  • Assist internal stakeholders with ledger queries.
  • Assist with the annual audit.
  • Conduct daily banking functions and daily reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly accounts pack.
  • Support the annual audit process.
  • Manage petty cash and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain the creditors ledger and handle ad hoc reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT Level 3 or 4, or semi-qualified, or extensive sector  experience.
  • Experience working within a busy accounts team.
  • Proficiency in using Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

This role has the option of 2 days WFH, once probation is successfully completed and a 4 day week can be considered for the right candidate.
