A valued, exclusive client is seeking a Finance Manager with a specific focus on leading the day to day transactional management of the financial functions via efficient and effective oversight of the Accounts Payable and Receivable Assistants. This role is integral to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the transactional financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Director to align transactions with company policies and will be responsible for developing and maintaining AR and AP dashboards of KPIs.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Supervise and manage the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger Teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and monitor AR and AP dashboards to track key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Director to ensure transactions comply with company policies.
  • Establish and review team processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Keep the Group Finance Director informed of team achievements, strengths, and issues.
  • Handle ad-hoc duties and oversee system and process upgrades for the ledger team.
  • Support Accountants with reconciliation queries on the ledgers.
  • Ensure timely collection of cash, manage aged debt, and limit exposure to bad debt.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and liaise with the credit insurance company.
  • Oversee the processing of invoices, payment runs, and weekly wages payroll information.
  • Ensure new supplier accounts are set up in compliance with internal procedures and regularly review Creditors reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial supervision, particularly within AR and AP functions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain financial KPI dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

This role will also require general Finance Manager duties such as credit cards and expenses, credit control, cash flow, balance sheet, and reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • QBE/Part Qualified or fully qualified with at least 2 years experience in a Finance Team OR An experienced Assistant Accountant or equivalent seeking that first step into a management role.
  •  Competent with Excel.
  • Team player and able to lead and inspire a team.
