General Manager - £37,800 - Plymouth - Contract Catering
We have a fantastic opportunity here at a Leading Contract Catering Company, for an experienced General Manager to join our team based at a unit in Plymouth.
As the General Manager you will lead and develop your team, provide exceptional service to our client and customers and deliver great results for the company.
You will create a positive safety and wellbeing culture throughout the team to ensure the safety of everyone in your department.
Key info:
* Salary: £37,800
* Location: Plymouth, must have transport due to location
* Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 8am-430pm with very occasional weekend work for sporadic events
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the Kitchen and Front of House teams - approx. 35 headcount through 4 direct report managers
Carry out agreed operational procedures for all relevant areas of responsibility
Ensuring current policies, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to and effectively maintained
Manage and train the team
Deal with customer queries and complaints
Staff management - including recruiting and training
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in as a General Manager within the Contract Catering sector is Essential
Good financial and commercial knowledge
Experience of running kitchens and restaurants
Ability to manage and train the team effectively
A dedicated and passionate team player, able to work with people at all levels
Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively
Strong leadership skills
