We at Reed are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a nursery. This role is pivotal in maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for children and managing a team to achieve excellence in early years education.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, updating safeguarding procedures and ensuring staff compliance.
- Oversee the management, staffing, and organisation of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality program delivery.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies like Ofsted.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements and implement operational policies effectively.
- Manage child records, support invoicing processes, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Plan and set up daily activities that cater to children’s developmental needs and manage curriculum planning and policy writing.
- Provide guidance and training to staff and manage communications with parents and other stakeholders.
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent required.
- GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above.
- Proven leadership and managerial skills within an Early Years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and ability to implement its requirements fully.
- Experience with Ofsted inspections and multi-agency working.
- Current first aid certificate and food hygiene certificate are preferable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
