Reed Specialist Recruitment are proud to be representing a Poole-based firm who are looking for a new Financial Services Administrator to help their Advisers/Paraplanners, on a full-time basis. 

The successful candidate will ideally have existing knowledge of the financial planning process, and be happy to work as part of a team within a busy, ambitious firm. 

You would have the following duties/responsibilities - 

  • Carry out all administration duties to fully support Financial Planners
  • Obtain valuations, information and product details for analysis
  • Liaise with product providers and other third parties
  • Process new business, withdrawals, fund switches and follow through to completion, working closely with the Paraplanner
  • Deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties
  • Book in annual review meetings with clients and manage a Financial Planner’s diary
  • Make up and maintain compliant files
  • To comply with the principles of Treating Customers Fairly in all aspects of the role of Administrator

The following skills will be important to have - 

  • Understanding of the Financial Planning process
  • Able to work within defined business processes
  • Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
  • Prioritise and plan own workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Fully competent in desktop applications (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Xplan is their back-office system
