MERITUS are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our client in Portsmouth on an initial 12 month contract to work within the Defence and Space industry. PLEASE NOTE - This is a Hybrid role in Portsmouth with 3 days a week onsite. Candidates must have sole British Citizenship.
Project Manager - INSIDE IR35 - Ā£60 PER HOUR - 12 MONTHS - PORTSMOUTH - HYBRID - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Initiation
- Project Planning
- Project Execution
- Project Monitoring Controlling, Closing of projects
- Delivering complex secure communications infrastructure and services.
- Managing projects in accordance with the project lifecycle standards & accountable for the quality, cost and schedule performance of the project
Essential -
- A good understanding of the PMI Project Management body of knowledge.
- A basic understanding of AGILE project management.
- Solid experience in a similar role of approving initial briefs/baselines, delivering projects and supporting bids in an engineering environment. Ideally, this will be the communications, aerospace, space or defence industries
Desirable -
- A degree or equivalent in project management, business management, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- A good technical background to support your project management role
- STEM degree or equivalent
- PMI/PMP certification
