As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial performance of the business, with a particular focus on gross profit. You will work closely with the finance team and senior management to ensure accurate reporting of the group's financial position and performance. This role will also allow you to lead improvements in the Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, leaving a lasting impact on the business.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager on behalf of our client, a leading national provider of support services for individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health challenges, and neurological conditions. With an impressive turnover of approximately £600m and a presence across over 500 sites, this is a unique opportunity to join a business that makes a real difference in people's lives.

Description

  • Lead R2R process improvement projects and enhance financial operations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to refine reporting processes, controls, and systems.
  • Review month-end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts across the group.
  • Prepare timely financial reports for the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Provide accurate variance analysis to help stakeholders understand business performance.
  • Manage and support the operational finance team, overseeing two direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with external audit queries and year-end processes.

Profile

This role is ideal for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will have a proven track record in delivering change, experience in managing a team, and strong technical skills, particularly in data manipulation and financial modelling using SQL and Excel. A proactive problem solver, you will possess excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

  • Big 4 ACA qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in finance improvement projects and change management.
  • Background in the Health & Social Care sector (advantageous).
