Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with a welcoming primary school in the West Kirby area. The successful applicant will have confidence in Maths and English and support the teacher throughout the school day.

Primary Teaching Assistant

  • Location - West Kirby, CH48
  • Start- As soon as possible
  • Position - Teaching Assistant
  • Pay- Paid to scale
  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • Hours - 8:30 - 15:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Instruction: Assist the teachers in planning and delivering lessons, including setting up equipment, preparing materials, and assisting with classroom activities.
  • Classroom Management: Assist to maintain a positive learning environment, managing student behaviour, and ensuring the classroom runs smoothly.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative duties such as taking attendance, filing student records, and organising classroom supplies.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working with Children.
  • Previous experience supporting people with additional needs.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide minimum of two professional references.
