About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the Birkenhead area. If you are looking for a new and rewarding challenge and are motivated by seeing others progress and develop, this role could be perfect for you. The ideal candidate will have confidence in both Mathematics and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support classroom teachers with daily activities and help maintain a stimulating classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage student independence and self-confidence.
  • Assisting the teacher with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and supported during lessons.
  • Preparing and organising classroom materials and resources for lessons.

Requirements:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (desirable).
  • Previous experience working with young people.
  • Confidence in Mathematics and English.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Ability to provide two professional references.
