Position: Teaching Assistants (Special Focus on Social and Communication, Phonics, SALT, and Reading Interventions)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Ongoing until at least July 2025, with the opportunity to remain

Are you passionate about supporting children in their educational journey? This Primary School is looking for three dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team and make a positive impact on student's development.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing Social and Communication strategies to foster a positive learning environment.

  • Support students with Phonics instruction to enhance their reading and writing skills.

  • Work closely with the Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) team to deliver targeted interventions.

  • Provide Reading Interventions to help students improve their literacy skills.

  • Collaborate with teachers to create and adapt resources for individual and group activities.

  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with primary school-aged children.

  • Knowledge of Social and Communication strategies, Phonics, SALT, and Reading Interventions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student's growth and development.
