My client are a specialist steel contractor with over 20 years of expertise specialising in structural steel solutions. The company has rapidly expanded, gaining an excellent client base throughout the UK.

They have worked on a wide range of projects ranging from large-scale developments to smaller schemes, with subcontract values of up to 2m.

They are now recruiting for an Estimator / CAD Technician to join their business and work on a range of projects across the North West.

As an Estimator / CAD Technician, your role will involve:

  • Prepare accurate designs and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Generate material and cost estimates for projects based on client specifications.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure design and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management and production teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
