They specialise in offering services ranging from supply and installation to comprehensive maintenance and spare parts, with a  mission is to be the go-to provider for all their client’s needs.Job Summary:We are looking for an AssistantProject Manager to join our clients Installations department. This role could suit an experienced field service engineer seeking to transition into a more senior, office-based role, or a candidate with a Quantity Surveyor (QS) background, or even a graduate trainee interested in project management. In this role, you will assist the Project Manager with the administration and commercial management of turn-key installation projects, ensuring smooth project execution.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the full commercial project management aspects of installations.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to manage delivery dates, provide risk assessments, and ensure that method statements are in place.
  • Support financial controls and records related to each project.
  • Work with suppliers to secure materials and resources required to complete projects on time.
  • Obtain variation orders for any additional work and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the operations team to secure engineering resources for site-based work.
  • Administer project time lines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Assist with the creation and management of technical and engineering documentation.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call team as needed this is on a quarterly basis
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Electrical or mechanical experience.
  • Previous project management experience or an understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments, method statements, and managing project costs.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • An interest in progressing within the project management field.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Degree, vocational training, or relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a field service role or similar (preferred).
