We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Officer to join our clients team in Preston, Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong HR background who is passionate about supporting employees and fostering a positive work environment.

Your attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills will ensure a smooth experience for both our clients staff and customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including posting job adverts, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including handling grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Monitor employee attendance, manage leave requests, and process payroll information.
  • Assist with training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and career progression.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and ensure employee well-being.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using HR software and Microsoft Office applications.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Human resources: 2 years (required)
  • Payroll Processing: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
