We are partnered with a leading organisation who are seeking a HR Administrator to join their team, based in Chorley. This role is initially for a 3-month temporary contract, with the possibility of extension and potential to become permanent.

As the HR Administrator you will support the HR team in achieving key functional objectives by providing first-line HR support and guidance across a variety of administrative and ad-hoc HR tasks. The role is central to maintaining HR operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to HR processes and policies, and facilitating smooth HR service delivery across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Support: Act as the first point of contact for HR administration queries, assisting managers and employees with guidance and referring to HR policies as needed.
  • Employee Records Management: Update and maintain employee data in HR systems with high accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage administrative tasks for new hires, leavers, and changes to employee details, including preparing offer letters, contracts, and other documentation.
  • Induction & Training: Oversee company induction processes and manage the online training platform, adding and archiving users as appropriate.
  • Payroll Coordination: Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee payments, responding to queries and coordinating information efficiently.
  • Project Participation: Support HR projects and initiatives as required, contributing to the implementation of HR strategies and process improvements.
  • General HR Administration: Ensure compliance with GDPR, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

The ideal candidate will have a HR-related qualification and/or relevant experience in HR administration. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, have experience in a fast-paced administrative role with a strong focus on attention to detail.
