Job Description:
As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs and contracts for construction projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and the internal team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Manage project costs, including variation orders and change requests.
- Undertake site visits and attend project meetings.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
- Monitor and manage project timelines, risks, and resources.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide financial reporting for clients and senior management.
- Support the preparation of final accounts and handle dispute resolution when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a construction environment.
- Experience in both pre and post-contract stages.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and financial management practices.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, CostX, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
