We are proud to be partnered with a unique, Developer owned Contractor, to find a Quantity Surveyor to join their construction delivery team. This Contractor is a privately owned family run business with massive projects, solid financial backing working on schemes, which includes a 5* Luxury Hotel.
We are looking for a QS with a proven track record in large commercial builds, ideally in hotel development. The successful applicant will report to the Commercial Director who will provide ongoing support. This is the first of a number of new projects the Company is to undertake and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on further responsibility as the Company expands.
Key duties will include:
- Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
- Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on the designated projects in accordance with the Company procedures and processes.
- Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client
- Responsibility for sub-contractor procurement, orders, valuations, and final accounts.
- Preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost value reconciliations.
- Preparation and agreement to subcontractors of contra-charge claims.
- To maintain quality control procedures
- To attend site and pre-contract meetings, working closely with the Design team to assist in the success of the project.
Qualifications and Training required:
- A degree/equivalent qualification (HNC/HND)
- Have at least five years experience in the Senior Surveyor role
- Have experience on similar projects
- Hold a full Drivers Licence
- Be willing to travel to/be based on site.
