Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position in Preston, starting on 03/03/2025.
The role involves supporting children with complex needs both 1-1 and in small groups, as well as preparing learning resources and maintaining communication with teachers and external agencies.
Candidates must have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and previous experience supporting SEN, particularly with Autism.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join a school in Preston. You will be supporting children with complex needs on a 1-1 basis and in small groups.

The Role:

Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
Preparing learning resources and activities
Building rapport with pupils, parents and staff
Maintaining regular communication with the teacher and external agencies to ensure Education and Health Care plans are updated

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
Level 2 Teaching Assistant or other relevant qualification is essential
Previous experience supporting SEN, in particular Autism

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
