Our client, a well-established and highly respected Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £150 million, is looking to appoint a General Foreman to join their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This position will be based on an infrastructure project in East Lothian.

Key Responsibilities:

As General Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all site operations, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards. You will liaise closely with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing all on-site operational activities

  • Ability to maintain accurate site diaries and records

  • A solid track record of implementing health, safety, and quality procedures

  • Previous experience with a civil engineering contractor

  • Infrastructure project experience (essential)

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with site staff, sub-contractors, and senior management
