Outdoor Events ManagerThis highly respected travel and leisure company have a passion for the great outdoors and provide a huge array of adventures and experiences throughout the UK, Europe and further afield.  They have a new vacancy for an Outdoor Events Manager to join them as the production expert and focal point for managing and arranging a wide variety of engaging, experiential promotions and outdoor events, ranging from pop-up's to festivals.  Salary of circa £40k, hybrid working in West Sussex. Outdoor Events Manager – Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production delivery of projects and events. Producing and managing event schedules and time lines to ensure that resources and assets are aligned across events.
  • Produce and manage safety plans, working with relevant advisory bodies & Health & Safety Manager.  Managing H&S requirements including assessing work activities, creation of documentation and on-site implementation.
  • Work with creative teams, and clients, to create inspirational briefs, assess requirements and provide marketing execution and promotion plans.
  • Assess and develop relationships with partners to provide innovative and exciting activities aligned to events.
  • Budgeting of projects ensuring commercially astute pricing, negotiating with suppliers to secure contracts.
  • Liaise with venues and site service representatives and carry out site visits.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on budget and on-time to an exceptional standard.
  • Ensure customer feedback processes are in place that post event feedback is carried out after each event.
  • Support the Exhibitions Executive in developing and managing internal and external exhibitions.

Outdoor Events Manager – Skills & Experience Required:

  • Essential to have extensive outdoor events experience in a customer focused acquisition, commercial environment.
  • Events management or marketing qualification is preferred.
  • Ability to create strong relationships with external partners.
  • Commercially astute with contract & budget management  expertise.
  • Health & Safety qualification desirable.
  • Experience in producing event safety plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple work streams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach.
  • Full UK driving license with the ability to travel throughout the UK to run events including weekends on occasion.    

Outdoor Events Manager – Additional Information:

  • Salary £38k to £40k dependent on experience
  • Hybrid working - circa 3 days in the office
  • Flexibility to be on site to oversee / manage the outdoor events, including weekend working (time off in lieu given)
