Summary

You will act as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR related queries. You will maintain and update employee records, whilst handling most employee documentation, such as contracts and induction packs.

You need superb communication and administration skills, able to deal with a variety of people and keeping calm in all situations. You will work at the head office in Ramsgate. This is a Monday to Friday position 8am - 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

Responsibilities

  • Leading Investigation, Grievance & Disciplinary hearings.
  • Forming and maintaining employee records on both the system and within confidential folders.
  • Advertising positions online and liaising with others as part of the recruitment process.
  • Updating internal databases, such as sick leave and holiday leave.
  • Preparing and amending HR documents, such as contracts.
  • Answering phone calls and emails to communicate with external partners.
  • Being the first point of contact for employees, answering any enquiries they may have.
  • Be able to provide basic advice on the policies and procedures to staff and management.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, suppliers, and the public.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 highly desirable
  • Experience in a HR work setting - HR Administrators with a strong knowledge around Disciplinary and Grievance will be considered.
  • Confidentiality of company information to be exercised at all times.
  • Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience of Microsoft software, ideally Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good ethical judgement.
