Principal Scientist - (Fermentation science)

One of our clients is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Principal Scientist to join their Microbial Bioprocessing team. If you have a solid foundation in microbial fermentation technology and a keen desire to innovate, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

As a Principal Scientist in Fermentation, you will:

  • Lead the Way: Utilise your extensive technical knowledge to develop and refine innovative microbial fermentation processes.
  • Troubleshoot with Expertise: Take accountability for scientific leadership within the team, addressing technical challenges and implementing solutions.
  • Mentor & Inspire: Provide guidance and expert knowledge to fellow scientists, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Set Standards: Establish high standards for scientific reporting and data management, ensuring quality across all projects.
  • Communicate & Collaborate: Prepare detailed technical reports and actively participate in project discussions, sharing your findings with the wider scientific community.

What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc/MSc or PhD with a minimum of 6 years practical experience in fermentation science.
  • Proven experience in fermentation development and scale-up of microbial processes.
  • A knack for working on cross-functional projects-this experience is a plus!
  • A history of leading and mentoring other fermentation scientists is advantageous.
