Research Scientist in Fungicide Biokinetics

Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic Research Scientist in Fungicide Biokinetics to join the Bioperformance group within the Bioscience function in Crop Protection. This role is key to understanding the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Elimination) behaviour of active ingredients within target species to drive critical performance insights.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Scientific Support: Provide proactive scientific and technical support to assess the bio-availability of novel fungicides through in vivo studies in fungi and plants.
  • Operational Priorities: Collaborate with the Science Leader to execute operational priorities effectively.
    • Data Interpretation: Analyse and interpret data, presenting findings in detailed reports and engaging presentations.
    • Health & Safety: Implement HSE actions to ensure all operations adhere to defined safety standards.
    • Research Enhancement: Maintain plant cell cultures and review methodologies to enhance research capacity and efficiency.
    • Knowledge Transfer: Share insights and build capabilities to augment existing research toolkits.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

- BSc or MSc (preferred) in Microbiology, Plant Science, or a related field.- 1-2 years of laboratory experience in a professional or academic setting.

- Proficient scientific writing and verbal communication skills (fluent in English).

Desirable Qualifications:

- Experience culturing microorganisms and studying ADME of active ingredients.

- Familiarity with handling large data sets and using data visualisation tools

- Experience with automated work-flows and analysing small molecules using LCMS.

Contract Duration: 2 Years
