Part-Time Teaching Assistant

(Reception & Year 1)

Location: Reading, W. Berkshire RG7Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 12:00 PMContract: Until Christmas 2024 (with potential for extension)

We are looking for a passionate Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support Reception and Year 1 classes in our school based in Reading (RG7). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the early development of young learners in a nurturing environment.

Part-Time Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lessons
  • Providing individual or small group support to the W. Berkshire Reception and Year 1 students
  • Supporting children's learning and development, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
  • Helping to set up activities and maintain classroom organisation

Requirements:

  • Valid Enhanced DBS (issued within the last 3 months or registered on the Update Service)
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting in W. Berkshire.
  • Positive, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting early years education
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Contract Duration:This role is contracted until Christmas 2024, with the possibility of extension in the W. Berkshire role.
