Part-Time Teaching Assistant
(Reception & Year 1)
Location: Reading, W. Berkshire RG7Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 12:00 PMContract: Until Christmas 2024 (with potential for extension)
Pay - £83.50 - £90 per day (the pay for the role is pro-rata for a 3 hour 15 minute day)
We are looking for a passionate Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support Reception and Year 1 classes in our school based in Reading (RG7). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the early development of young learners in a nurturing environment.
Part-Time Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lessons
- Providing individual or small group support to the W. Berkshire Reception and Year 1 students
- Supporting children's learning and development, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
- Helping to set up activities and maintain classroom organisation
Requirements:
- Valid Enhanced DBS (issued within the last 3 months or registered on the Update Service)
- Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting in W. Berkshire.
- Positive, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting early years education
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Contract Duration:This role is contracted until Christmas 2024, with the possibility of extension in the W. Berkshire role.
