Orka Financial is currently partnering with a successful, growing business West of Reading that is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join the team. The role reports into the Head of Finance. The Finance Manager will have responsibly for the production of the statutory reporting and sits in a small team ( that may include managing)
Duties will include,
- Preparing statutory accounts/financial statements
- Documenting issues in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner, including journal entries and financial statement disclosures
- Co-ordinating annual audit, work with auditors on deliverables and timing during their fieldwork and follow up queries and perform the necessary procedures and documentation
- Partnering between the group finance team and on issues such as technical review of complex subsidiary statutory financial statements
- Tax Compliance; global tax compliance registration, submission and returns including sales and employee taxes
- Ensuring global VAT codes have been entered correctly into the finance system
- UK VAT Returns and HMRC VAT compliance (including all global requirements)
- Ensuring all tax submissions are accurate and deadlines met
- Supporting the consolidation and external reporting requirements of the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures and systems for relevant accounting and reporting
- Identifying process improvements and assisting in the implementation of related processes and controls
- Responsible for payroll including global payroll compliance
- Validating payroll reports and reporting
This role would suit a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical accounting experience. The role is based West Reading. Parking is provided and the role is hybrid (2 days a week office based) Salary is up to £65000 dependent upon experience. + bonus + benefits
