Our client is looking for a Property Counsel to join their rapidly expanding in house legal team. The client is a market leader in the Technology & Telecoms industry.

Our client is an established organisation in the Technology & Telecoms sector, with a significant presence across the UK.

Description

  • A part of the role will be in assisting with the management of these transactions through weekly counsel sessions with our legal suppliers and acquisition delivery managers - reporting on the same and providing front line support to legal escalations arising in this space
  • Legal Supplier Management - we rely heavily on our relationship with our legal suppliers to ensure that work streams are instructed and dealt with in a manner and at a cost that is satisfactory. We foster close working relationships with our legal supplier teams which require daily management and support
  • Support supplier management strategies across the Property & Estates Project, ensuring strategic alignment across the supplier base to support Project strategies.
  • To manage, execute and constantly assess supplier training and development with relation to the Electronic Communications Code (ECC) 2017, own relevant communication and engagement strategies and constantly drive commercial value for the business.
  • Act as a point of contact & co-ordination for all escalations, risks and issues appertaining to the legal completion of all occupational renewals under the ECC 2017
  • To operate project governance by use of appropriate mediums and mechanisms such as meetings, work streams and teams calls to regularly govern the project by surfacing issues, making decisions and agreeing escalations to ensure the project remains on track and targets are consistently met
  • To update several internal systems at various points throughout the transaction, ensuring relevant milestones are claimed, notes on case status are kept up to date and relevant parties are informed as to transaction progress

Profile

A successful Property Counsel should have:

  • UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE
  • Experience in commercial property conveyancing with
  • Experience in commercial conveyancing transactions, particularly relating to landlord and tenant matters
  • Experience working within a busy in-house legal team
  • A robust understanding of the conveyancing process (Landlord/Tenant law)
