Site Manager / Commissioning Manager | Nuclear Industry | Electrical / Control Systems Projects | 6 month Contract | Negotiable rate | Inside IR35 | Reading On-Site
MERITUS are recruiting for a Site Manager with strong Electrical experience to join our client in Reading on an initial 6 month contract to work within the Nuclear industry. PLEASE NOTE: Candidates eligible for the role MUST have Nuclear experience and MUST be eligible for SC Clearance.
If successful you will be responsible for all site related aspects of delivering Nuclear projects Safely to cost, time and quality specifications including managing the installation and customer acceptance of Control System projects. To be successful you will need a strong electrical background as well as previous experience in a similar role in the nuclear industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing the installation and customer acceptance of Control System projects in accordance with Nuclear licensed site safety standards and local site work practices.
- People-management responsibility for leading and motivating a subset of the project team of software and hardware engineers (typically 1 to 5+) during the site installation and commissioning phases of the project.
- Control and management of installation sub-contractors (typically cable installation and minor electrical/mechanical works).
- Hold regular report and progress meetings with clients including production of related minutes.
Experience Required:
- To have successfully completed Client Contractors National Safety Group Safety Passport Supervisor training.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Certification.
- Black Card (CSCS Black Manager Card).
- Background in Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering Nuclear solutions on site with a track record of success.
