Our client is seeking an experienced Events and Community Engagement Manager to join their team at multi tenanted estate in Reading.

The successful candidate will be key in delivering a dynamic events and marketing strategy, engaging the local community and occupiers, and promoting the property.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the placemaking team to develop and execute event and community engagement strategies, managing quarterly reviews and working sessions on site.
  • Oversee and deliver a comprehensive marketing and events campaign throughout the year.
  • Act as the brand ambassador for the estate, managing digital assets (website, social channels, intranet, app) and ensuring consistent brand representation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with occupiers, visitors, and external partners, providing a welcoming and engaging experience.
  • Organise and manage a range of events, including volunteer activities, wellbeing initiatives, and community-building events, such as annual signature events like regattas and dragon boat races.
  • Foster partnerships with local organisations and stakeholders, such as the Reading Council, Wokingham Waterside Centre, and Network Rail.
  • Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with health and safety standards, coordinating with relevant teams and contractors.
  • Regularly report on event performance and community engagement activities.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in delivering successful in-person and virtual events, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in creating engaging communications across digital and physical platforms.
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems efficiently.
