Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the disciplinary and functional management of team members within the designated area.
  • Accountable for resource allocation and planning in the assigned section.
  • Lead the strategic development of the IE department with an emphasis on lean production, in collaboration with the Production Manager (identifying improvement areas, documenting potential opportunities in a roadmap, and establishing priorities).
  • Drive the achievement of 1-5 year goals, including setting objectives, measures, and priorities to meet those targets.
  • Ensure adherence to established production standards, including the reporting of KPIs to both Business Units (BUs) and Corporate Units (CUs).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all plant-related matters with BUs and CUs.
  • Manage and resolve issues affecting multiple BUs within the plant.
  • Take ownership of the plant's manufacturing processes (per BU) for both pre-series and series production.
  • Oversee machine acceptances, including their execution and release.
  • Continuously develop and enhance manufacturing processes in the plant, focusing on both pre-series and series production across BUs

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

  • Several years of professional engineering experience in a comparable role.
  • Possess a qualification at HNC level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Prior supervisory experience, ideally supported by a formal management qualification.
  • Strong organisational abilities, with excellent communication skills and the capacity to inspire and motivate others.
  • Solid background in project management, coupled with strong problem-solving capabilities.
