We are currently recruiting exclusively for a high profile business within the Midlands who are reeling off the back of an impressive financial year. This role will be reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner of the marketing division. You will have a focus on month-end preparation, analysis, and interpretation of management information to support key commercial decisions. As a vital part of the Commercial Finance team, you will help the Marketing team understand and influence financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a finance partner to the Marketing team, supporting both the Retail and Autocentres divisions with management accounting, reporting, and business partnering activities.
  • Own weekly and monthly reporting of Advertising & Promotion (A&P) spend, ensuring accurate month-end results and clear articulation of performance versus expectations.
  • Support budgeting and reforecasting processes, identifying risks and opportunities to align marketing spend with overall business and divisional objectives.
  • Provide financial oversight of advertising and promotional spend, developing measurement frameworks to track marketing channel performance and key KPIs impacting the P&L.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate commercial decisions, marketing trials, and campaign performance, delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Manage a junior analyst, ensuring effective task prioritization, development support, and alignment with broader finance and business goals.
  • Contribute to wider Commercial Finance initiatives, sharing best practices and supporting Finance Transformation efforts.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Qualifications & Experience - Fully qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen - Ability to align financial activities with business objectives, providing insights that drive commercial success.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management - Strong ability to simplify complex financial data and influence both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Technical & Systems Knowledge - Proficiency in SAP to support month-end processes and reporting.
  • Leadership & Collaboration - Experience in direct or indirect line management, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in cross-functional, matrix environments.
  • Resilience & Adaptability - A dynamic, results-driven mindset with the ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
