About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Redditch. This is a full-time position offering a competitive daily rate of 150-200, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a love for teaching and the ability to inspire students to explore the exciting world of food preparation, nutrition, and healthy living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Prepare students for assessments and practical cooking exams.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively and encourage student participation.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in the kitchen classroom.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for food education.

  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
