Part Time Human Resources Manager - Redruth - £33,000 FTE

Well Placed HR have been reengaged by a long standing client, a successful manufacturing business serving customers throughout the Southwest. As a result of continued growth and a notable increase in the workforce, the company now seeks to recruit a part time HR Manager. The role is offered as a permanent contract and will operate over approximately 24 hours per week, with negotiable working flexibility to suit the successful candidate. The role will be based onsite at the company headquarters in Redruth.

Working closely alongside the company directors, the incoming HR Manager will play a key role in overseeing all operational aspects of the business’ people management function. This is a broad and varied position that will call for an experienced HR generalist who has the ability to take an objective view on current people management policy and enhance it through the implementation of improved strategy. The core focus of the role will include:

- Taking a lead role in all areas of company recruitment planning, campaigning and sourcing candidates through multiple channels

- Updating of existing policies and HR processes

- Review existing employee training provisions

- Undertake staff appraisal reviews

- Manage and document staff attendance

- Work closely with department heads to ensure that they are well supported on HR policy

- Oversee day-to-day activities of payroll function (liaising with finance)

- Working with external stakeholders and service providers where required

We’re seeking an experienced HR generalist, ideally with a background gained in a similar sized SME. Exposure to a manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential. Suitable candidates will ideally, though certainly not essentially, be operating at CIPD level 3 or above and have up to date knowledge of employment legislation and proven experience in enhancing and improving existing processes. The successful candidate will be a well-known and respected member of the team so great communication skills and a cheerful disposition will be essential!
