Cameron James is working with a successful fully Independent Financial Planning firm based in Surrey, in the recruitment of an experienced Financial Planning Paraplanner to join their growing team. They have offices that span the whole of the UK.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will work closely with Financial Advisers to provide comprehensive support in preparing financial plans, reports, analysis, as well as assisting with technical aspects. This role is crucial in ensuring that clients receive detailed, accurate, and tailored financial advice.

This role is 9am-5pm on a full-time basis working at the main office in Reigate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning Support:
    • Assist Financial Advisers in creating financial strategies and plans, across all areas of advice, including investments, pensions, trusts and IHT for clients EIS, VCT, offshore bonds and Trust work.
    • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct research on financial products and strategies to support client recommendations.
  • Analyse and interpret financial information to help design appropriate solutions for clients.
  • Prepare client-facing documents, including suitability reports, financial reviews, and recommendations, in line with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Proven experience working as a Paraplanner or in a similar financial services support role.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and suitability letters.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software and tools (e.g., Voyant, CashCalc, or similar).

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, including investments, pensions, tax, and retirement planning.
  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
