We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead the HR and Compliance function of a busy and successful prep school in Richmond.

Our client is offering flexible working hours and a hybrid model during school holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the school’s HR and Compliance functions, ensuring full compliance with guidelines and regulations from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) and other government bodies.
  • Provide a comprehensive, confidential HR and Safer Recruiting service to the school.
  • Advise the Head and Senior Management Team on regulatory compliance and legal matters.
  • Maintain clear, accurate systems and records and explain legislative requirements in simple, practical terms.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in an educational or independent school setting.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and safer recruitment practices is advantageous.
  • CIPD qualification preferred.
  • Competent ICT skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
