The Role:

Position: Business Development Manager
Department: Sales, Marketing & BD
Reporting to: Technical Director
Location:Ringwood, Hampshire + hybrid home working (2 days office based, 3 days home based)
Salary: £70k DOE + Commission + Benefits + Company Profit Share
Hours:37.5 hours per week

Join us as a Business Development Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our expansion efforts in the IT services sector. This role is crucial in driving growth and securing new business opportunities. You will work closely with the Directors and the Marketing Team to develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with our companys objectives. Your focus will be on expanding our customer base, achieving year-on-year growth in sales profit, and building lasting relationships with new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver a robust strategy to support the companys objectives and secure new customer contracts.

Proactively identify and engage with new customers, building strong relationships and developing proposals to meet their needs.

Identify and explore new market opportunities beyond our existing healthcare sector, providing strategic recommendations on potential sectors for growth.

Build and nurture strong relationships with new clients, understanding their needs, and developing tailored proposals that align with our service offerings.

Leverage existing vendor relationships, in coordination with our Technical Director, to enhance our market positioning and commercial opportunities.

Create and manage sales forecasts, actively working towards meeting and exceeding set targets.

Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to build relationships with potential clients and partners and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

Lead the development of tender responses, leveraging our technical expertise and existing relationships to increase our win rate, particularly in new markets.

Regularly report on BD activities, progress towards targets, and market insights to the Board.

Successful candidates for this job require:

Minimum of 3 years in a similar Business Development role, specifically within the IT support services or SaaS sector.

Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering new business in a technical environment, with a history of achieving sales targets and growth objectives.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

Knowledge of the IT services market, including competitor landscape and industry trends.

Strong analytical skills

A strong focus on achieving results and driving growth.
