Main Responsibilities

To deal with the collection of large and difficult debts including escalating overdue debts to Legal and liaising with them in proving information to pursue payment of the debt.

Ensure leases and licenses in respect of concessions and rents for industrial and shop premises, land and other buildings are completed in order to collect fees and rents due on the due dates.

To ensure that accounts are produced for fees and rents, reminders and follow up procedures for collection are done according to timetables.

Provide management with statistical information as required.

Carry out balancing and reconciliation

Assist with the design and implementation of new payment and monitoring processes required to support developments in new service initiatives.

Act as the key customer contact for debtors and develop good working relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders and partners.

To represent the team in meetings internally and externally



Experience required

5 GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language.

Experience of working in a Exchequer Services environment

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular of Excel spreadsheets

Ability to analyse financial information

Experience of delivering a customer oriented service

AAT level 4 or equivalent qualification would be desirable
