Pre-Sales Technical Manager

UK - with travel to Nordics

I am recruiting for a Technical Engineering Manager to work for a large Data Centre operator in the UK working with various teams including sales to deliver high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions that meet customer needs across Data Center locations in the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Requirements:

Capture customer needs via written specifications, RFPs, and meetings.
Collaborate with teams to develop compliant solutions and accurate sales proposal documentation.
Technical Support:

Create and amend layout or schematic drawings for proposals.
Assist with quotes and solutions for customer fit-outs or upgrades.
Present solutions alongside the Sales team and support customer site tours.
Manage the handover of relevant documentation pre- and post-sales.

Project Development:

Develop sales enablement materials for Data Centres, including design concepts and future growth plans.
Maintain and update RFP documentation to support sales opportunities.
Provide input on new designs and solutions to align with customer needs and market demands.

Qualifications:

Strong technical background with experience in customer solutions or Data Centre design.
Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, EN50600, Uptime Institute).
Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Master's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.

MEP experience is key.
