Overview: Our client, a leading safety engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Nuclear Safety Engineer to join their team on a remote basis. The successful candidate will contribute to key projects at HMNB Clyde, focusing on ensuring the safety of various critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities: The Nuclear Safety Engineer will be responsible for delivering the following:

  • UID001: Floating dock HAZID and Safety Assessments
  • UID002: Shoreside infrastructure HAZID and Safety Assessments
  • UID003: Floating dock Basis of Design
  • UID004: Shoreside infrastructure Basis of Design
  • UID005: Safety Functional Requirements
  • UID006: Preliminary Safety Case Report
  • UID007: REPPIR Assessment
  • UID008: Updates to Safety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMPs)
  • UID009: Support to Safety Working Groups

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in nuclear safety engineering, particularly within submarine infrastructure or naval nuclear facilities.
  • Strong background in Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Safety Assessments.
  • Experience with Safety Functional Requirements and Safety Case Reports.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing deliverables within agreed
  • Experience working on facilities at HMNB Clyde
  • SC Clearance
