Unique School Solutions are supporting aRotherham Primary School to recruit Teaching Assistants to work withpupilsin EYFS & KS1 with autism and communication difficulties. The successfulcandidate will work with pupils on a one to one basis and in small groups to promote the growth and inclusion of children with complex learning needs.

This is a full-time, term-time only role starting in September 2024. Initially the role will be via Unique School Solutions on a temporary basis. However, following a short successfulprobation period there will be an opportunity to secure a permanent contract of employment withthe school.

We are seekingTeaching Assistants with the following skills and experience:

  • Experienceworking within a school in EYFS or KS1.
  • Referenceable experienceworking withchildren with SEND needs.
  • A working understandingof autism, communication difficulties and other complex needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour managementand how to deal with children in crisis.
  • Be patient and calm whilst providing nurturing support to pupils.
  • Abilityto build strong professional relationships with children and other staff members.
