Responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students with special educational needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills as an SEN Teacher.

Requirements for SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
