If you have a strong track record operating as a senior interim consultant within the not for profit and government sectors, worked in the transport sector, covered IT, consultancy, professional services and will be available soon then please do reach out!

As the procurement lead you will manage the stakeholder both internally and 3rd party suppliers. You will help to ensuring that all procurements provide value for money by managing the end to end process to include providing challenge to statements of requirement, designing the appropriate route to market, ensuring fair evaluation of all tenders, obtaining legal input if required, and signing contracts.

Description

  • Ensuring that procurement strategy, policy and internal procedures reflect best practice and are followed.
  • Ensuring that all spend is compliant with government procurement regulations
  • Making changes to current policy and practices as a result of Procurement Reform if required.
  • Providing guidance to contract managers to ensure third party suppliers deliver the required product/services.
  • Reviewing contract management and making sure that contract managers are aware of their obligations.
  • Line management of two Procurement Executives, and oversight of their professional development.

Profile

  • Extensive knowledge in public sector procurement and dealt with large contract c10million
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in procuring under Public Sector procurement regulations (PCR2015)
  • Collaborative team leader and must have expertise of procuring under CCS/wider public sector frameworks
  • Demonstrable history of running public procurement exercises, ideally in central government as well as transport
  • A history of procuring a wide variety of goods and services including IT, consultancy and professional services.
